The Microelectronics Center ITB along with other 14 Indonesian IT companies joined “Indonesia ICT Day” at the High Tech Campus Eindhoven (HTCE) Industrial Complex, Eindhoven on Tuesday, 18 March 2014. This first-ever event was organized by the Indonesian Embassy in the Haque in cooperation with Abyor Europe BV and supported by the Indonesian Ministry of Industry, HTCE, and Brainport Eindhoven. It aimed to demonstrate to the Dutch companies and public about Indonesian capability in the field of ICT that can compete with other countries. Through this event, it was expected that the business network, business collaboration, and investment between Indonesian and Dutch companies could be tied stronger.
The Indonesian Ambassador for the Netherlands, Mrs Retno Marsudi opened the event which was attended by more than 100 people. In her speech, Ambassador Retno Marsudi said that Indonesia has excellent ability in ICT field. Combined with the fact that Indonesia’s economic and political situation have been consistently growing better, Indonesia is believed to be the reliable partner in developing ICT business and expanding its market. Moderated by Prof. Dr. Rodria Laline, the event continued to the presentation session delivered by 15 Indonesian companies. Mr. Trio Adiono as the Head of Microelectronics Center ITB brought a topic about Indonesia ICT solutions that emphasized what Indonesia can do for the world’s society.
During the meeting, several business commitments between Dutch and Indonesian IT companies had been reached. For instances, Komuri Indonesia agreed with the Dutch company partner to develop a product for monitoring employee’s satisfaction, and Sangkuriang International planed to open company’s representative in the Netherlands for the European coverage. In addition, the Eindhoven Brainport also expressed an interest to explore the possibility of cooperation with Bandung Technopark in facilitating the development of IT products.
