The Microelectronics Center in Institut Teknologi Bandung is one of the winners of Industry-Academia Partnership Programme (IAPP) in 2018. This collaboration-research was funded by Royal Academy Engineering (https://www.raeng.org.uk/) via Newton Fund. The funded project is entitled “System On Chip (SoC) Visible Light Communication System for LiFi Applications” (Project number IAPP1\100074). We collaborate with PT. Xirka Silicon Technology, Bandung and the LiFi R&D Centre (LRDC) the Institute for Digital Communication (IDCom), The University of Edinburgh.
To run this program, in the initial step, Dr. Trio Adiono, S.T., M.T. with his researcher, Syifaul Fuada, S.Pd, M.T., from ITB visited the LRDC-IDCom. We discuss the technical implementation of this program with Dr. Wasiu O. Popoola and Dr. Majid Safari. This program has been started in May 2018 and will end in 2020.
Besides that, Dr. Trio Adiono is invited to give a public seminar entitled “The SoC baseband Processor Design for Visible Light Communications” in the department of Institute for Digital Communication (IDCom) on 8 May 2018 (SF).
