Morphological Processor

Morphological Processor

Overview

The processor can perform a broad range of morphological operations in parallel which can reach maximum 50 times speed up compare to single general purpose processor. Single processor has capability to process maximum 1024×1024 pixels binary image with 5×5 template size in a speed of 200 ns per pixel at 10 MHz clock rates. The processor architecture is also improved to be configurable into six parallel configurations which can exploit the parallelity of morphological operations.

Function

Morphological image processing operations, such as erosion, dilation, thinning etc.

Application
  • Visual inspection
  • Object detection
  • Image inspection
